Admission Procedure
Once the admission opening date has been decided and declared, Parents can call, e-mail or may visit the school campus for the admission information.
- Parents to meet admission officer to get information of the School/ Curriculum and the details of admission procedure, fee structure etc.
- Prospective student needs to sit for an assessment (oral/ written) with the section coordinator.
- Parents and Student to meet Principal for getting admission approval. Upon Principal’s approval they can collect the admission form from the Accounts Office at a particular cost (i.e., Tk. 500/-)
- Parent should complete and submit the properly filled admission form along with all the required documents as mentioned in the form to the Admission Officer.
Admission Office will complete the further procedure accordingly.
An oral assessment/written test date will be given to parent upon successful receipt of admission information. There will be no admission test for Play Group & Nursery, general interaction with the child and the parents will be conducted. Only interaction for Play Group/Nursery, but written Assessment for KGI and KG II on Bangla, English and Mathematics. From class 1 onwards, students will have to appear for a written test. The test will be conducted in two subjects – English and Mathematics.

Selection Criteria
The selection of the students will depend on the performance in the test/interview. Selection is also subject to the availability of seats in the respective classes.
The results of the Entrance Test will be declared within 2-3 days or one-week maximum of the test taken or on the date declared.

Admission Formalities
- Successful candidates whose names are included in the list must pay the fee by the dates indicated on the list; otherwise, admission will automatically stand cancelled.
- To enroll the child, parent has to collect the admission order (Signed by Principal) & other necessary documents to deposit the full payment/partial payment at the time of admission as per the fee schedule laid down by the school. Payment can be made through bank draft/pay order or cash.
- If the parents do not show interest within a specific time period, the seat will be allotted to the next student in the ‘Waiting List’.
- In case of Parent being away from Dhaka, Parents/Guardians must confirm the admission through email/telephone.
BASED ON THE ADMISSION TESTS AND OTHER CRITERIA, THE SCHOOL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ADMIT ONLY THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE FOUND TO BE SUITABLE FOR ADMISSION.
ON ALL MATTERS RELATED TO ADMISSION THE PRINCIPAL/ MANAGEMENT’S DECISION IS FINAL.

Note:
- VAT is chargeable on fees only if it is directed by the Government of Bangladesh.
- Payments of all fees can be made by cheque or cash to Accounts Office or through online transfer to school designated bank by the 10th of each month, unless otherwise officially notified in writing. In case of online transfer/ cash deposit to bank, parents need to notify accounts office about the payment by sending the deposit slip/ proof of online transfer to accounts@risbd.org.
- Academic and Transportation fee can be paid monthly/ quarterly/ yearly.
- Late fine will be charged with regular academic fee if not paid by the scheduled date, parents will be officially notified. If tuition fee is not paid for consecutive 03 (three) months school authority will write off the child’s name from the school record.
- Refund of fees: The Radius International School has no provision to refund under any circumstances, any School fees, once they are paid. The parents/legal guardians are strongly advised not to approach School authorities with fee refund requests in order to avoid mutual embarrassment. The parents/legal guardians hereby agree that they or their child waive off any right to claim or entitlement to get refund of any School fees paid to the school.
- Scholarships/ Discounts:
a) Employees of RIS: Employees of The RIS will get 50% discount on both admission and tuition fees.
b) Sibling discount (for general parents): No sibling discount on admission fees. 25% sibling discount will be applicable for the 2nd and onward siblings. For the 1st child, no discount on tuition fees is available.
c) Physical Disability: 50% discount will be applicable on both admission and tuition fees.
d) Underprivileged: There will be 5% reserved quota for the underprivileged children. Maximum 1 from a class of 20 students will avail Full Free ship facility.
e) Special case: In case of any sudden financial crisis/ accident/ death of any student’s parents, School committee will take the decision on that point about what facilities/ supports can be provided.
f) Merit Based Scholarship: Scholarship on tuition fees will be provided based on the merit. One (1) student per class will avail this scholarship.

Admission form is available at admission office from Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
As the students are coming from different schools following different curriculum, the admission-test questions are set maintaining the standard level of understanding as per the class the candidate wishes to enroll.
We have two major exams around the year: the half-yearly exam and the final exam. We also have Class Evaluations (CEs), Monthly Evaluations (MEs) and Quarterly Exams (QEs) which are conducted in between half-yearly and final. Marks of CEs, MEs & QEs are added to half-yearly and final exams to ensure a thoroughly academic attitude round the year.
We have accreditation from both Cambridge and Pearson-Edexcel and we follow the IGCSE Cambridge International Curriculum mainly. To learn the details about the curriculums, please go to our ‘Useful Link’ option.
We offer the students a truly international standard environment at our school premises. So, students coming from any part of the world feel comfortable with the environment as well as the peer group.

Students are required to wear School uniform from Play group to onwards. Full details about School uniform will be given once admission is confirmed.
